We asked Anna for help bringing on a young horse that we needed to find a new home for. Wicca is by nature not very confident especially in new environments and inclined to stop if uncertain about anything, everything took a long time for her. We were concerned about finding her a new home as we felt that only a very sensitive and experienced rider would get the best out of her. After a few sessions with Anna she was a different horse! More outgoing even in the field, she seemed to have found her self confidence and in a very practical way this showed as standing still for the farrier for the first time ever! With lots of little troubles ironed out with Anna’s patience and skill we were a lot happier about finding a new home for our young horse and felt that most riders would be able to enjoy her. Anna also helped us find a good home for her and I have had great reports back that they are finding Wicca to be a fun and forward ride, something I thought she would never be. I would not hesitate to recommend Anna for anyone needing help with a young or tricky horse or for anyone wishing to improve their horsemanship. Anna has a great wealth of experience with all sorts of horses and a real talent for identifying what a particular horse needs help with. In addition to Wicca Anna has backed our horse Hex, our pony Twinkle and restarted Spot our miniature for us.

I was recommended Anna by a friend and decided to send her two young mares I was having severe difficulties with. I felt they were dangerous and was willing to have them put down instead of selling them if they hadn’t have come good. One of them hadn’t been haltered and one had briefly been haltered as a foal.
What Anna managed to achieve with the mares in such a short period of time, just over 2 weeks, was just brilliant. Now I have 2 horses that I can actually work with. For what she did and the way she did it, I am so so grateful because I can now sell these mares and be confident to do so. I have worked with horses all my life but what Anna has taught me has given me confidence in areas that I was finding I was actually nervous in when dealing with these mares. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first took the mares to Anna but what she did couldn’t have been better, she did an absolutely fantastic job.

I was first introduced to Anna back in 2013 by Richard Stringer of Stringer Equine Vets. I was struggling with my young horse's behaviour and, after ruling out any physical issues, Richard recommended Anna to help. Anna was able to explain exactly what was going on with my mare and gave me the tools and guidance to help me bring out the best in us both. Since that first session I have never looked back and continue to work very closely with Anna and all my horses. When purchasing a foal I took much advice and guidance from Anna, plus she has now backed him for me, I wouldn’t have trusted such an important aspect of his training with anyone else. Her knowledge, patience, observational skills and empathy with horses is mind blowing and I continue to learn so much even after all these years. At the start of the process with Anna I had a very forward thinking, anxious and potentially dangerous 5 yr old. At some point she had learnt the way to survive was to push through any human that may be in her way. I had no idea how or even if I would ever feel capable enough to ultimately ride her.
Throughout this process Anna has given us both the clarity, support, guidance and amazing training to connect and enjoy our journey together. Every little task, broken down into a small ask or try has lead to a huge change, enabling us both to be confident in what is being asked.
